Mini-beasts and their Microhabitats

Our Year 2 pupils went on a hunt within the school in search of mini-beasts and their microhabitats. Some of the microhabitats they explored include: beneath leaves, in and on the soil, and on tall grasses and stones and rocks, inside rotting woods, under fallen flowers.

During their hunt, the young learners saw spiders, caterpillars, millipedes, slugs, ants and worms in their respective microhabitats.
